Thank you Andrea Cox

Thank you, Andrea Cox, yoga instructor with The Collective STL for helping us relax, get grounded, breathe, stretch, and un-tense. You taught us how to down dog, plank, cobra, mountain, and balance like a tree (see Andrea demonstrating below on a warmer day). We ended by drifting into Savasana and totally forget that we had 1p Zoom calls!

Thank you, Leslie Gill, Forum member and President of Rung for Women, for bringing us Andrea and introducing us to The Collective STL.

The Collective STL is a 501(c)3 non-profit donation-based Yoga and Wellness Space located in the heart of Old North St. Louis, Missouri (1400 North Market Street, St. Louis, 63106) that serves the greater St. Louis Metro area. Since 2018, it has supported thousands of St. Louisans and others with mental wellness through our culturally aware, trauma informed programming for healing.

The Collective STL’s goal is to create a space where Black people in St. Louis have adequate access to health and wellness spaces, spaces that center their (our) identities and experiences, spaces that are warm and welcoming, and spaces that build community. We believe that the responsibility of the health and wellness of Black people in St. Louis is the responsibility of the collective; we are all The Collective.

Collectively, our role is to ensure that all the people are well, that people are thriving, that people are surviving, that people feel safe in their bodies, that people feel comfortable in their skin, and that people can truly be themselves.
